Sara is a storyteller, actor, writer and participatory artist who leads workshops in storytelling, story making and creative literacy as well as performing as a teller of traditional tales. Her story work also involves working creatively with real life and personal stories, local history and stories of place through performance, participatory arts or story-based projects. She performs, teaches and produces work in outdoor environments and unusual settings, as well as in schools, museums and libraries. Her delightful alter ego is ‘Isabella Necessity on her Story Cycle‘ her story theatre on a vintage bicycle.
She is artistic director of combined arts company ‘Blazing Tales Ltd’, a workshop led organisation who work in school, health and community settings. Along with artists from Blazing Tales she led groundbreaking work with mixed-race families live in rural areas, and has published the book ‘The River Exe-pedition’ on the subject.
Having worked in the creative industry for many years, Sara brings a wealth of experience as a performer, workshop facilitator and project manager. She is also role-play actor helping to develop communication skills in health, education, business and service industries.
