I tell traditional stories originating from my home near Dartmoor in Devon, Britain and around the world. A storytelling performance can last between 10 and 90 minutes and be as informal or formal as you like. They can be tailored to suit, or chosen from an existing show.

Storytelling can play a central role in a workshop. Stories know no boundaries; I tell stories to early years and older years. I have taught in hundreds of schools inspiring learning across the curriculum through storytelling and story making, both inside and outside the classroom. Storytelling has a natural home outdoors and my show Isabella’s Story Bicycle is made for outdoor events.

Performing and teaching with other artists is always a joy. I perform with musicians and visual artists , using live drawing or Storygami for example. I enjoy riddles, rhymes, games and sayings and have worked closely with medieval riddles in The Exeter Book.

I tell stories for all ages in:

  • theatres, arts centres and village halls
  • schools, education, residentials, special needs
  • care homes, hospitals and day centres
  • orchards and village greens
  • outdoors for performance and environmental education
  • museums, libraries and heritage sites
  • in communities and with community groups of all ages
  • fairs and festivals
  • home concerts
  • workshops to inspire Story Making
  • workshops to inspire storytelling performance
